Dr. Maria Montessori always blows me away when I read her books and her philosophy on learning and early childhood education.  Go back and re-read the quote.  I’m waiting….. okay?  Now let’s think about what Maria is saying for a moment.  A child is growing and developing and new to the world with so many possibilities for their life.  How do we give children a wonderful environment for their development so that they can uncover their full potential?  I honestly believe that kids come with their own set of personalities and my idea is to not snuff out my girls’ natural self, but to hopefully preserve and help them acquire and hone their skills as they grow.  It is fun to celebrate the uniqueness of each child and I have a lot of fun playing and learning with my kids.  I jumped at the chance to check out the SuperMe! Products and their really cool superhero cape backpack with special personalization and used it as another opportunity to talk with Brooke about what it means to really be a superhero.

The Naturalist Cape Backpack by SuperMe! is a perfect backpack for the busy superhero on-the-go.  While it appears to be a normal backpack, it can – quick as a flash – transform into a superhero cape with a quick tug from a pocket!  An eye mask is stored for the perfect time and SuperMe! patches can be personalized and procured.  Brooke and I talk a lot about being kind and being able to lend a helping hand to others is what makes you a ‘superhero’ to someone and she has shown great pleasure in taking this superhero job seriously.  While she doesn’t need a super cool cape backpack to help her achieve this status, she certainly gets a lot of enjoyment with the interaction and the props.  While we all probably like feeling like a hero to others, there is only a certain age that can get away with highlighting an actual cape while doing it!  This product is a lot of fun for kids and I love hanging out with my caped crusader!
