The Fun Cooking Magazine for Families
I bought a Learning Tower for cooking with our kids before my older daughter could walk because we spend so much time in the kitchen. We love cooking with our older daughter, Brooke. I always do a silent chuckle when I watch her ‘read the instructions’ (recipes) and concentrate on the next steps in making a dish. I pretend to not notice when she sneaks a taste and always make sure to ask her if she thinks it is yummy. Her dad and I like that she has an appreciation for charcuterie and is starting to recognize the difference in different spices. When I learned of the quarterly magazine on cooking with the family called ChopChop, I had to check it out!
ChopChop is a wonderful family cooking magazine that won the 2013 James Beard Foundation Award for Publication of the Year and is available in both Spanish and English. It offers lots of nutritional recipes from all over the world while providing cost-effective ways to save. The magazine is very much geared towards children and has a lot of fun games and puzzles to keep your little ones entertained. I recommend reading the articles together as a family since there are fun articles such as learning about the White House Chefs! You can purchase this magazine through a subscription or even pick it up at a newsstand. ChopChop also accepts donations to get the magazine into the hands of children who would benefit, such as children’s hospitals, after school programs and health centers, so check out their website here if you are interested in making a difference in a child’s life.
