Produce high quality family board games so that we can play around all the time.
I tend to get a little nostalgic about games since I played a lot as a kid. I tend to forget that some of my favorite games as a child like Hi Ho Cherri-o or Connect Four were NEW games to my mom at the time. Instead of just buying games I’m familiar with, I actually do try and find new games to learn and love. Thankfully, my daughter loves games, but gets bored quite easily once she has mastered it. I saw that Plucking Pairs was the winner of the Game of the Year from Creative Child and thought this might be perfect to keep her interest. Not only are the rules slightly lenient, you can make up random winners on the spot. I was all in!
Plucking Pairs is a game for three and up (and up to eight players – Wow) that has a wonderful replay game as well as being a fun party game. Basically players ‘pluck’ cards from a pile and predict the same plucking pairs everyone else has around the table. Simple enough, right? This isn’t a right or wrong game; it is the power of prediction, which I think makes it so much more interesting and hilarious. The more players, the better, so try it out on that large play date. Oh, and kids, don’t forget to invite the adults. We like playing fun games, too!
