My older daughter and I get so excited when a new Secret Mountain CD/Book comes out because we love to learn new songs from other countries. We like to talk about how there are children all over the world who love music and singing as much as we do. The fifth CD/Book in this series focuses on the countries of Brazil and Portugal and offer over 30 traditional songs from both countries. The nursery rhymes and lullabies incorporate interactive traditional songs including a song the title borrows, Você cheira a cravo, a Portuguese song that talks about a parrot that carries a love letter across the ocean. The harmonies in the songs are amazing and I love when the children’s choir sings. The included book has the English translations including the originals of each traditional song. Highly recommended!
