By the time I was in middle school and possibly before (I can’t really remember the exact year), my mom stopped wrapping our gifts. She would put each of the three kids’ presents in separate locations and put one piece of wrapping paper over it. I have never actually asked her if it was to save money, time or energy but perhaps she was just being eco-conscious. Since she does read my blog posts, I’ll have to hear what she has to say! We are still in the ‘magical Christmas’ mode in our house so each gift is meticulously wrapped (by my husband) and decently-enough wrapped (by me) for the kiddos. That said, I still want to be eco-friendly and look for ways to cut down on waste. I am happy to report I found this really cool company that produces many earth-friendly products including 100% recycled gift wrap! Awesome.
Green Field Paper offers a variety of 100% recycled gift wrap paper and I was immediately drawn to the tree pattern. It is just so cute and reminds me a little of the Charlie Brown Christmas special. Awww! Each roll contains two over-sized sheets that are 24” x 36” (a total of 1,728 square inches) with a smooth finish. The gift wrap is 100% recycled and is printed with soy based inks.
