I usually get a confused look when I mention how much I love my splash mat. Huh? What’s a splat mat? It’s a simple concept, really. It’s a 100% nylon area that keeps your floors clean. I originally got a splat mat for under the high chair when baby eats, but I quickly learned the value of it for art work. Brooke has been finger painting (thank you, Wee Can Too Art!) since she was 6 months old and her splat mat was a complete lifesaver for my kitchen floors. I actually love the paint splatters on it since it gives it an ‘artsy’ look. It has also come in handy for indoor and outdoor picnics and is perfect for travel (not all folks appreciate a sticky and crumb infested baby in their homes). I seriously LOVE Kushies Baby Splash Mats since they come in an extra-large size (yeah!) as well as being BPA, PVC, Lead and Phthalate Free! I also thought their Leaf BB Print looked quite chic. You know, for something that is supposed to control your stains…. We have a lot of years and art projects ahead of us, so our splat mat will see lots of use even after the messy food toddler years. A+.
