The Scholastic Storybook Treasures series is geared towards toddlers and preschoolers who are starting to learn to read. Scholastic Storybook Treasures take favorite Scholastic books throughout the last few years. Your child gets to see the illustrations and words on the bottom of the screen while watching as a Read-Along. This DVD collection is the latest release (November 19, 2013) that has an emphasis on family that was put together to include stories perfect for the holiday season for kids. My daughter was very excited to see the story of Splat the Cat and his favorite friend, Seymour the mouse. Splat always learns great lessons and has a love of school, his family and his favorite teacher, Mrs. Wimpydimple! Can Splat stay on Santa’s good side this year? The other three books featured add to the delightful collection. Stories include how Santa can brave through the winter’s snow, learning about the unique qualities of snowflakes and a beautiful adaptation of a girl and her father searching for the Great Horned Owl.
