Already local Austinites put our money where our mouths are by supporting local businesses! Yes, I do a lot of reviews of non-local products because I do love their products, but I also like to support local operations…….if they are worth the money. This one, my friends, is a local product worth the money! If you recognize the name Mullins, it is because the owner’s parents owned Mullins Square, Inc. in Austin, TX for 33 years before having to close in 2010. They manufactured all of their products locally for as long as they could and still maintain U.S. suppliers as well as supplying many products still made right here in Austin with AM PM Kids! Yes!
The Owl Tubby is an amazingly plush hooded towel that is made with extraordinary quality. My daughter loves hooded towels and we seek out great value so they last. I found that if we bought cheaper hooded towels they would start tearing in the wash after just a few cycles and not so with this towel. You can also use this towel at the pool or beach and we have gotten many compliments. If Owls aren’t your thing, check out their entire line of adorable tubbies as well as their entire product line that includes many different types of bibs that are laminated. In fact, if you want to go all local on me, all of the laminated items that AM PM Kids! sells (mini chefs aprons, art smocks, 4 sizes of bibs, pacifier clips and their unique reversible chalkboards/place mats with chalk) are made right here in Austin.
