This may come as a shock unless you really know me, but I am a huge sports fan.  Did I ever play sports?  Oh, heck no.  I am not only one of the worst athletes you can imagine (my stint to be a rower in crew turned into me being the coxswain yelling at the boy’s varsity eight boat) since I was deemed ‘too small’ and ‘too weak’ to do most of the sports that I tried.  Le sigh.  I did; however, love going to MLB games in Cincinnati and Columbus (nosebleeds only) and I was able to attend my one and only pro football game at the Bengals which I still can’t believe my good fortune in winning.  However, my own true love is the college football Big 10 games, especially the Buckeyes.  Yes, yes, I live in Texas now so that is fighting words, but I suppose you can take the girl out of Ohio….well, you know the rest….  I’m still a huge fan.  Luckily, my husband, despite being a Texan, did grow up in Ohio which is how we met and shares the same love of the scarlet and gray.  So much so that when I suggested that we get a super cool large sports decal for the B.O.B.s’ (Bob, my husband and our two daughters with their lovely acronym names of B.O.B.) wall, he was all over it.  It may not be an exact replicable jersey (seriously, this is more for kids who play on a team), we are still a huge Buckeye family and our older daughter is known to do ‘football touchdown dances’ and the O-H-I-O spirit of Ohio.  Sure my kiddos may never play sports and already lean towards the arts, we just may never know what the future holds and I support them in anything they want to do to stay in shape.  We love the B.O.B. Buckeye decal and support our Ohio teams (albeit in the privacy of our own home) of my home state together.
