Jewish Cowgirl by Mama Doni? Really? Okay, I’m game! This is entitled the acoustic collection for Chanukah, Passover and all 52 Shabbats. Wow! I’m not a Jewish girl, but I have enough Jewish friends to share the “Jewish Cowgirl” with them to see how they enjoy her ‘barn burning’ medleys for the holidays. This is chalk full of acoustic, bluegreass and ‘Jewish Holiday Hoedowns’. Yeah, I wasn’t sure what that meant either until I hear the album in full effect. For those who grew up with this type of music, you will fall in love and then some. While it honors Jewish tradition, it does much more than that, it honors bluegrass/cowgirl music. I dig it!
