Elizabeth Mitchell Christmas Album (All Ages)

Music has always been part of my life. In fact, I see flashes of my life through songs. I’m not sure if that is strange or usual, but I definitely tune it more towards the holidays since they were probably my favorite time of the year. One Christmas in Ohio (which pretty much snowed each year), it was unseasonably warm and I ended up buying some fake snow. Yeah, that turned out badly and it took forever to wash off, but it was nice while it lasted. I loved the songs of Burl Ives, Willie Nelson and Dean Martin. Why do so many artists do Christmas albums? I think it is a simple answer. They remember the feeling of listening to holiday songs on their own. I know I did. It doesn’t hurt that my favorite modern folk singer, Elizabeth Mitchell plays a huge role in this album along with the always entertaining Natalie Merchant. This is definitely a classic album before even being on a ‘classic’ long term scale. Enjoy your holidays and that includes listening to this fantastic album!
