So this isn’t a kid’s product, but for as much laundry as we do of theirs it might as well be, right? There is an all-natural fabric softener dryer ball that is eco-friendly and good for 1,000 loads of laundry? Sounds almost too good to be true, doesn’t it? I have been hearing about these wool dryer balls that are home made from New Zealand for months now and wondered if all the good things I heard about them were actually true. They are supposed to reduce static (reduce not eliminate) and wrinkles. They are supposed to cut down on your dryer time by around 25% per load. They are totally hypo-allergenic (important in my family), have no chemicals but are also totally safe for those with wool allergies? The balls are made from wool…how is that possible? Well, I learned it was because the dryer balls themselves do not shed, are PVC free and don’t fall apart or melt. In fact, they are as good for you as they are for the environment. In order for these to work properly, you need to use all six woolzies dryer balls in the load. They do seem to bang around in the dryer but I think that is a small price to pay to not expose my family to harmful chemicals in the air from regular fabric softener. They are great for family members with sensitive or dry skin and they will not destroy the fire retardant qualities of our clothes. This is pretty impressive for a product that softens your clothes!

I have a set of these, and I love them! They work great, getting rid of static cling and cutting the drying time down a fair amount. I’ve had them for over a year now, and the work as well as when they were brand new!
