The Petroleum Jelly Alternative

What would you say if I told you that there is an all natural alternative to petroleum jelly that is made right here in the USA?  My first thought was, ‘I need to try that’!  It works exactly like the petroleum jelly we know and love; for dry skin, lips, make-up, sports and babies and a whole lot more.  Basically, anything for skin hydration and protection even eczema and psoriasis.  So why use Waxelene?  Well, it’s everything you expect from petroleum jelly right down to the consistency but it does not contain the petroleum!  Yes, it’s true!  Waxelene does not contain any hydrogenated oils (trans-fats), petroleum or other chemicals.  Wow.  Not only that, the product itself is made with little impact even with being produced with 100% renewable wind energy and absolutely no animal testing.  Even the container is glass (recycled, of course) that can be re-used or re-recycled and packaging is 100% post-consumer recycled boxes.  I don’t think you could get more ‘green’ in this age!  Like petroleum jelly it goes on clear and smells just a hint of beeswax, which I think smells lovely.  It can also be found easily in local stores and there is a locator section on their website here.  Some major chains that carry this product include CVS, Whole Foods and Bed, Bath and Beyond.  Try it – you will love it!

  1. This is great! I do not like the ingredients in petroleum jelly, but I like the product, so this is an excellent alternative! I love how it is made with all-natural ingredients, and that it works just as well, if not better, then the other!

  2. its great to use something better than petroleum jelly. PJ just traps the humidity in and softens the upper layer of skin, but beeswax and soy oil like things actually penetrate the skin. Thanks for letting know.
