My loyal readers know I had been taking a hiatus since Christmas from my blog for many personal reasons and the biggest one has to do with transformations. Transformations within me, my family and my life that I wanted to step away from my every day writings to focuses more on ‘real time’ family activities and myself. One of the biggest transformations is that I am pregnant and ready to bring a new daughter into the world in September (although more than likely she will arrive earlier than planned – long story)! *Gasp* If you have read my blog, you know I struggled with a late miscarriage and also the idea and reality of conceiving another baby. Well, folks, I’m here to tell you it has actually happened and I’m going into this new phase with much love, hope and anxiety as ever…but I feel ready despite a few health issues that have popped up for me. Am I continuing with the blog permanently? I’m not sure, but believe me, there are so many awesome family products I’d love to champion including some awesome new baby products that it is hard to believe that much time has passed since Brooke was a baby! I’d like to take this time to reflect and talk about a fun and transformative project for kids that is also reusable and recyclable. It is near and dear to my heart and my daughter’s imagination so I felt it was a perfect way to check off a new review. I want to thank you for still being a follower and still interested in what I have to say.  For me, writing my posts late at night has helped me with honest reflection of my family and things that draw us together as a unit, which is what matters to me most.

The Makedo Transport Roadster is also a product of reuse and transformation for kids that also focus on imagination and creativity.  Makedo’s company is all about reusing and recycling and that aligns right with our family’s goals to not leave a (big) negative impact on our Earth.  We have yet to buy our daughter any sort of motorized vehicle (we are slowly working our way up to a bike from a trike at this point) and with her Makedo Transport Roadster, we leave the ‘motorized’ part out of her vehicle.  In fact, this is all about creating your own personalized box vehicle with recyclable polypropylene attachments.  You supply your own box (ahhh, one less thing for our recycle bin), the attachments from Makedo magnificently transforming a piece of cardboard into a real vehicle.  The attachments are quite strong and use screws and grips that create a strong reinforcement for your vehicle.  Our daughter plays quite rough with her toys and has yet to tear any attachment off!  Best part?  You can decorate with your own artwork (not included) and my daughter, the Sticker Monster, decided stickers were also the way to go.  I foresee a lot of use out of this product and when we are done, we can recycle the cardboard and polypropylene plastic so it can be re-used again.  Awesome!
