I still remember the day I got my ears pierced. It was a birthday gift when I was eight and I was so ready and excited that I did not even flinch with the piercing gun. That is how I want the experience to be for my daughters if they ever choose to get their ears pierced. For now, my older gets to do ‘pretend’ earrings with awesome clip-ons and she loves feeling like she is a ‘big kid’ like mommy. Okay, more like ‘old kid’ like me, but whatever! I recently discovered an awesome local Austin company through www.Fakoodle.com (check out that site, Austin moms!) that specializes in adorable jewelry including this sweet clip-on earring for kids. Score! My daughter has this strange obsession with cupcake designs and the silver cupcake clip-on earrings were an instant hit.
Clip on Silver Cupcake Earrings by Vinca are lever-back clip-ons for kids. Created and designed by local Amanda Dimova (while she was a college student!), her self-proclaimed quirky designs are so loveable and chic that it is easy to see how her products (now with a team) are selling worldwide. The earrings are so easy to put on and sturdy to stay in place yet comfortable enough for our older daughter that she wants to sport them everywhere. Even better – almost all materials are made in the U.S.A. and assembled locally. Awesome!
