I was never jazzed about my husband buying an all black sporty car with all black faux leather interior when we lived in Ohio. Not only did I think it was too expensive and impractical, I hate driving a standard car. Plus, while we were always on the fence about having kids, I knew if we did the car would be a nightmare with the two tiny little seats in the back with no head room for average sized adults. Fast forward several years and here we are in Austin, Texas with two kids with 100+ degree weather starting in May. It is one of those ‘I told you so’ moments that I can’t even choke out because half the time that I am forced to sit in his sweltering vehicle I am just trying to catch my breath before my lungs burst into flames. As soon as I learned about the Cool Mee Car Seat Liners I was very happy to give it a whirl for Brooke.
I am not about the explain the mechanics about why or how the Cool Mee Car Seat Liner works and cools the car seat for kids, but believe me, it does. According to their website, it is made with a mesh material (three layers worth) to promote air flow that prevents overheating and perspiration. It is not unusual in the 100+ degree weather for our daughter’s back of her shirt to get damp in her car seat and that has not happened since we started using the product. The nice thing is, the liner is machine washable (100% polyester) but you have to air dry. This company hails from Fairfield, California, so I imagine the makers of the product had plenty of opportunities to test out their liners in the Austin-like heat. It also comes in a variety of colors, but of course, we chose pink. Stay cool this summer and that includes your little ones in the back seat!
