Product Review: Radio Jungle CD by The Pop Ups (All Ages) *Grammy Nominee*
“Nobody makes better modern pop for preschoolers than the Pop Ups.” – Stefan Shepherd, Zooglobble.com
If you follow children’s albums, than you are aware that the expectations of the follow-up to the 2010 The Pop Ups album Outside Voices came with much anticipation. The Brooklyn team (Jason Rabinowitz and Jacob Stein) did not disappoint and the Grammy nod is proof that The Pop Ups have exceeded those expectations with their sophomore album, Radio Jungle. Most of the album is a pop 80s influence (some even calling it ‘electro pop’) that many parents will enjoy listening to with their kids. It is clear that the album is geared toward the age group of three through seven with songs about the color wheel, feelings and even how to phonetically spell elephant. Adorable! Oh, and celestial fans will rejoice at their constellations song ‘Connect the Stars’, our personal favorite!
