Product Review: Cheetah Can’t Lose {Hardcover} (Ages 4-8)
Now Everyone Will Know That I Am A Champion! Out 02/19/2013!
Yup, that’s my daughter doing a crab-walk dance to Jingle Bells waving a mini-American flag and laughing and singing her head off. I guess when you were fostered with a sense of the absurd; you just naturally pass it on to your kid. As an adult, I like to call it ‘quirky’, which is much nicer than the ‘insane’ or ‘crazy’ labels, but whatever you want to call it, I like it. Sometimes when I take life too seriously, because who doesn’t at times, I like to read or do silly things as a reminder that life is also fun and happy, too. I love reading my daughter positive and insightful books and I also like reading her ‘quirky’ books. Bob Shea is a hilarious kid’s author and if you haven’t checked out his Dinosaur vs. series (including one called Dinosaur vs. Santa now available!), you are in for a treat. I am also quite excited to report a new addition to his catalog of books coming out in 2013 with the very funny Cheetah Can’t Lose.
Perfect for young children who knows a playmate who can’t lose (or perhaps they need a little lesson in sportsmanship), Cheetah Can’t Lose is a hilarious insight into the mind of a delusional cat who thinks he is the best at everything. It is especially nice to take on smaller and younger opponents because winning is always easier that way. It also helps if your peers like to laugh and have fun and don’t mind ‘losing’. Is Cheetah really victorious in his big race? Does it matter when no one else is counting? Laugh along with Cheetah’s friends and see the importance of knowing when losing is just as fun as winning! Excellent read for young children and the ‘quirky’ alike.
