Product Review: Christmas in Many Cultures (Hardcover) (PreK-2)
This is One of Several in a “Life around the World” Series that Showcases Christmas Traditions of the World
Christmas in Many Cultures book is a wonderful way to introduce informational reading and cultural diversity at the same time. The book looks at several countries throughout the whole world that celebrate Christmas. Did you know that the people in South Africa watch the sunrise on Christmas morning? It is a very enlightening book that talks about many different aspects of how Christmas is celebrated from religious celebrations, different foods that are prepared and customs and crafts that are traditional to the cultures. This book also includes lovely and bright pictures of how people around the world celebrate this holiday. We also love how each cultural discussion is accompanied by a world map that shows its location in the world. This is a perfect read for small children for educational purposes as well as an interesting lesson of an assortment of cultures.
