The Jimmies sure know how to cover all the bases for a holiday album! This catchy poppy-rock album swims seamlessly through each holiday during the winter season; from Christmas to Hanukkah to Kwanzaa to…. Chrismukaah? Sure, why not? So how do you make Jingle Bells pop? Yes, it is possible and I can prove it to you if you listen to Track 4. The great thing is this is an album for kids and adults and, really, if you don’t at least download “Nothin’ For Christmas”, you are just missing out. I read that one reviewer describes the Jimmies as “bubblegum meets indie,” and that seems pretty accurate. The brainchild and visionary of the group, Ashley Albert, (also daughter of music producer Howard Albert) has such a sweet and sassy voice you and your kids will get a laugh at the smart and silly lyrics. This will definitely be playing around our house all holiday season!
