This Classic Book is brought to life with your own voice for a great keepsake for your child. I absolutely love the Record a Story books because our family lives far from us and this is a great way for them to ‘read’ to her anytime they would like! In fact, I’ve had each grandparent (besides one, and I’m working on that right now!) record a book for Brooke. She loves to hear her grandparents read her the books and follow along the pages. She knows exactly which voice is for which grandparent and it is really so special. I know life is short and these books make wonderful keepsakes that will last. They are battery-operated and it is quite simple to ‘record your voice’, ‘stop recording’ and ‘lock’ your voice for each page. You can re-record as many times as you like before locking. I’ve had one copy for two years and I still haven’t had to replace batteries even though Brooke ‘reads’ it quite often. I am looking forward to playing this to Brooke on Christmas Eve and the illustrations are quite fabulous and vintage-looking. SO excited.
Quick tip: The pages have to be open all the way and on a flat surface to record or to play. I’ve also noticed it helps to have direct light over the book to ‘trigger’ the voice.
