Product Review:  French for Kids: Cha, Cha, Cha [Single] CD (All Ages)

Inspiring Young Minds

There is something about ‘just released’ children’s products that make me shiver with excitement.  I imagine a shrink would call it something other than a mom getting excited about her kid getting a cool new learning tool, but I digress….!  In this case, this new product comes in a multi-award winning Audio CD (it’s all there:  Mom’s Choice, The National Parents Center Seal of Approval, Dr Toy, etc. etc..) on top of trying to accomplish one of my favorite wishes for Brooke, to learn other languages.  To be honest, I barely know how to say my name in French, but that is why I am trying to learn, too.  After all, we have a French last name and, apparently, the legend is we are of royal blood.  I certainly love to hear my father-in-law talk about it.  I had done a Whistlefritz product earlier and loved it (a great matching game with Spanish words) and I was very interested to hear their CDs for kids.  I am happy to report this is a great CD for our little French speakers (or non-speakers just yet) and would make a great stocking stuffer for your child!   This is a very upbeat CD with 15 great French speaking tracks that comes with a nice English translation (whew!).  The fantastic basics of numbers, days of the week, months and seasons are an excellent start to the beginning of a new linguist.  Merci!

About Whistlefritz:  Whistlefritz was started by a Glen Echo, MD (right outside DC) mom in 2006 who wanted to create high quality Spanish Immersion program products for children when she felt she could not find products available that were accessible to both native and non-native Spanish speakers.  Check out the Products section of the website for a variety of Whistlefritz products including CDs and DVDs.  I love that Heidi is branching out in French products and our family is right on board!
