I am so into the Bento Box craze. A co-worker of mine showed me this website that was strictly dedicated to making the cutest lunches for your kids: from fruit cutouts, to crinkle-cut veggies to adorable animal toothpicks for sammies that I was amazed at the creativity. I want to do that, please! Not only that but you can buy eco-friendly bento boxes that are BPA-free and lead-free, you can also buy them in food-safe stainless steel. This means say goodbye to plastic baggies and food containers that can leach chemicals into our kid’s food! Sign me up! Stainless Steel Oval Two-In-One Bento Lunch Box by EcoLunchbox is perfect for kid’s lunches for school or on the go. The Box includes a large oval lunchbox (6 ½” x 5” x 2”) that has enough room for two halves of a sandwich plus room for sides. It also comes complete with a small stainless steel cup (3 ½” diameter) with a no-leak plastic lid (BPA-free, of course) that can be used for sauces, dressings, yogurt and other ‘wet’ food items like applesauce. The cup fits perfectly into the container or can be used separately. The best part is that it is completely dishwasher safe. Oh yeah! I may not be able to master those Bento Lunch Box parents who amaze me with their lunch creativity skills, but I’m learning. It’s the effort that counts and an eco-friendly lunchbox is an ‘A’ in my book!
