Diaper Bags and Other Great Gear – Let the Holiday Gift Recommendations Begin!
So, it’s the day after Thanksgiving dubbed ‘Black Friday’ and I have the perfect gift recommendation for moms to get their stay-at-home or active in parenting dads. I am very proud of my husband who is a stay-at-home dad. He has been a stay-at-home dad for two and a half years now and has always been indignant at having something that remotely looks like a ‘woman’s’ diaper bag. He is a stay-at-home DAD and he needs DAD gear. Not finding anything he deemed up to his standards, he (a Veteran Army Medic) has been schlepping around an old army medic aid bag with all of Brooke’s necessities. It seems though, that as Brooke grew, so did her ‘stuff’; you know, her favorite animals, her books, a brush, first aid kits, etc, etc……and he started to begrudgingly say he needed a bigger diaper bag. The Sparkle Silver Center Stripe Dadgear Diaper Backpack has been a lifesaver for Bob. Not only does it offer the ample storage space he was after it has 13 compartments to keep items handy and compartmentalized. It features something called the diaper hammock (he LOVES this…okay, correction, Bob told me after reading this that men do not LOVE things: they find them useful or utilitarian *insert eye roll here*) and Quick Access Wipes Case so diaper changes can be done at lightning speed without having to scramble to find things in an overflowing bag. It is also rugged and large enough to fit a man’s frame. The bag is ergonomically shaped with padded shoulder straps so it remains comfortable even after lugging around a heavy preschooler all day. The straps will also hang nicely on a stroller. No girly diaper bag here (okay, he wasn’t thrilled with the word ‘sparkle in the title’, but look how cool it is and more for a safety reflection and not girly at all!). This is ALL Dad Gear!
