I’d like to think all parents want their children to be the best human beings they can be and Cloud9Kids believes that good thoughts, behavior and self-esteem are all tied into healthy individuals. While this company has several book set series and products that convey a different virtue theme to show support, my focus has been on empowerment. The I Can Do It! Book Gift Set includes six books that are designed to build a child’s self-confidence through discussing their personal achievements and offering encouragement with a focus on the virtues listed below. I really like how each book in this series personalizes experiences on overcoming negative traits and turning them into a positive virtue with the help of animals and locations in different states throughout the U.S. which I think enriches the experience for young readers. The animals teach the children valuable lessons and while the conversations are through animals, they are very real heartfelt words between friends. One would hope these conversations do happen in real life, and if they are not, than a parent is there to help the child through different difficult circumstances. As Cloud 9 World likes to say, one ‘ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’. If your child knows they each possess these positive virtues than they can learn to maneuver through anything life throws their way and I think that is a wonderful topic of discussion.
