How to Play Pairs in Pears

For those of you who follow kid’s products (guilty!), you have long heard of Bananagrams. They have won so many awards it would probably fill my entire review, so just trust me that they are well known.  Since I try to center on early education games (although I do veer off if I find something super cool), I wanted to try the Pairs in Pears Word Game by Bananagrams for the younger crowd.  Since I love all things adorable, the fact that this game comes in a pear shaped pouch is really what got me interested.  Yes, I’m a sucker for packaging.  But, it is also a fast paced pair-making game that is great for children to race and connect alphabet sets (or words for older children) and is great to develop memory, cognitive skills, pattern recognition and much more.  As Bananagrams states, it is ‘deceptively simple and exceptionally fun’.  If you are looking for another great Bananagram game for the young child, check out Appleletters designed with the younger players in mind that includes three levels or ways to play.

Want more challenging games for older children? Check out the original Bananagrams, Zip-It, and the really cool Fruitoninoes all available through their online store here
