Pete’s Elegant Decorated Bag of 100% Natural Vanilla Marshmallows
I am a marshmallow purest. I love natural vanilla homemade marshmallows, which I can’t talk about without discussing hot chocolate (see other post!); but, I hate the mess. I hate feeling ‘sticky’ which is one reason I am more of a kitchen-help/ low-graded sous chef in our house. However, I look forward to local and farmer’s markets selling homemade marshmallows this time of year and I heard about some crazy ‘elegant’ gourmet confections that Pete’s company was making in Oregon and I was intrigued by their only pure natural 100% vanilla marshmallows to try them out for ourselves.
Original Undipped Vanilla Marshmallows by Pete’s Gourmet comes in a 16-size gourmet serving gift bag which is wonderful for the colder ‘hot chocolate weather’. Bon Appetit (the magazine, of course) called these little marshmallows a ‘modern miracle’ so I knew we were in for a treat. Pete’s Gourmet Confections are eco-kosher and made with six ingredients I’m including below. Hands down, some of the best vanilla marshmallows I’ve ever had and I think their slogan of ‘even better than homemade’ is warranted!

Sugar, corn syrup, water, vanilla, gelatin, corn starch
