We are renters. Nope, I have never owned my own home. Someday? I’d like to think so. Right now? There are too many things up in the air but we are thinking about it when Bob finishes school and can hopefully find a (decent) job in another year or so. Renting isn’t so terrible. I don’t have to fix things, I don’t pay property tax and I can move after my lease is up. There are also lots more downsides, like the cost (Austin is ridiculously high in rental prices!) and not really getting to decorate your space or making modifications like our seriously ridiculous kitchen that has terrible flooring or the fact that the pipes back up every so often and really need replacing, but they just ‘snake it out’ again. So, what can you do? I try and make our space as happy and family friendly as possible and stickers as wall decorations are AWESOME. I have done lots of vinyl stickers and Brooke’s room has so many glow-in-the-dark stars it really does look like a planetarium at night. Since we are also big on family pictures, I was stoked to see these really cool removable and reusable frames perfect for her little art space.

Hilarious! This is definitely an awesome idea for renters or those kids who live in college dorms.
