Peacocks Fluffed their Feathers.  Elephants Took a Bath.  And Tuxedo-Clad Penguins Paced.

id·i·om noun. An expression consisting of a combination of words that has a figurative meaning, such as, hangs her head.

Trouble was brewing at the zoo!  Can Stu save his most favorite place to go (since he was knee-high to a grasshopper) before it is turned into a shopping mall?  Stu has an idea to create an animal symphony to save the zoo and the animals are all ears.  The animals gear up for their big performance and Maestro Stu is ready to orchestrate the event.  Will his plan work?  This is a really cute book, especially for any animal loving kids out there!  The back pages of the book have a great section on understanding idioms that are in the book that was fun to read to our daughter.  While adults may not think much about idioms since we use them so much, it is important for children who are still grasping the language to fully comprehend our meanings!
