My constant mantra is, ‘Learning is fun!’ It certainly helps to make that case with a game like Synonyms. As a pseudo-writer, I like to expand my vocabulary and what better way to get your mind racing than by challenging yourself and others to a race to the finish on naming synonyms? The game is fast paced and entertaining and you start by picking pawns for individual or team players. With the roll of the die the player is given a designated number of synonyms and depending on the color of space they land they have up to 3 levels of the word difficulty.
Synonyms the Game is a two to eight player game that can usually be completed within 30 minutes! Yes, it is that fast paced. Once you roll the die and select a card you have one move to earn a letter by naming the designated number of synonyms. But wait – there is a twist – another player can challenge you! What does that mean? It means that you and the challenger must compete to see who can top the other in naming more synonyms. This is a fun race to the finish and expanding your vocabulary to boot. Two thumbs (or digits or extremities, well, you get my point….) up!
