Product Review:  How to Build an A {Hardback} (Age 2+)

Don’t Just Learn Your Letters—Build Them!

Children who are learning their letters have a much easier time when they can learn by breaking them down into simple elements.  You know, you put a line here, a semi-circle there, etc.  This book intrigued me right away because it not only breaks down how to build each letter (in upper and lowercase, I might add!), it comes with 11 fully tested EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) foam-like pieces for your child to construct the letters along with the children in the book.  Each page illustrates a nice watercolor image of the letter and a word that starts with the letter (A is for apple, for example).  The child sees tiny little people pulling and pushes the block pieces together to form each letter.  It is a very hands-on and interactive alphabet book which I have found very rare!  I read reviews where people complained of the EVA block smell, but I found it very faint and reminded me of that smell you sniff when you walk into a shoe store.  After a few days, I did not even notice it.  Oh, it also comes with a nice little mesh bag so you can put the blocks away very neatly!  Brooke really loves it and so do her dad and I!
