801 Facts Kids Want to Know

I like to read books about random facts.  For fun.  I know I have this nasty habit of when someone is talking about something when they don’t know the answer, I say, ‘wait a minute’ and look it up on my phone.  If something doesn’t sound right, I like to know for accuracy.  I suppose I could be nice and say I am just curious, but it is really a desire to understand.  I have probably a thousand random facts rumbling around in my head at any given time and whether or not I ever use them doesn’t seem to bother me.  I just want to know.

  • What is an Aye-Aye?
  • What are some foods invented by Accident?
  • What is an Anemometer?

These are questions your children may never have thought to ask, but they will want to know once they start reading.  This incredible book by TIME is full of amazing pictures and illustrations.  It also has side-bar facts (another love of mine) and fun activities you can do together as a family.  The glossary and index are also easy to read and interpret and as an added bonus for photography nuts they have a credit site for each one of the many pictures included.  Cool.

Question:  What is the strongest muscle in your body?  Give up yet?
