I admit it, I’m a semi-reformed worrier. This means I can recognize it when I start to worry and I really try and go out of my way to stop it. Worrying seemed to be part of my life from very early on and I remember feeling lots of worry in school, especially at group activities. There was no real reason behind it; it just seemed part of my nature. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized that slowing down and taking things one day at a time (and doing lots of yoga) was a relief on top of learning how to share feelings with others, which was a huge weakness of mine for most of my life. I loved the idea of the WorryWoo series of books and plush toys and thought Wince the Monster of Worry plush and his book Don’t Feed the WorryBug would be a great book to read to Brooke.
Wince the Monster of Worry is one of the many WorryWoo monsters from the WorryWoo books. Wince is the Monster of Worry who has one nemesis called the WorryBug. Poor Wince can’t seem to stop worrying and he seems to take his worries with him everywhere. Perhaps you can help Wince. He needs someone to open up and share their feelings and encourage Wince with open ears and lots of hugs. The WorryWoo award-winning books and plush toys promote emotional wellness in children of all ages. The story books are sweet and colorful with the silly monsters that also encourage kids to embrace emotions.
