Product Review: Star Wars Folded Flyers (Age 8+)
Make 30 Paper Starfighters
Learn the ways of the Force! I think that a lot of parents with young children are probably somewhat close to my age and, if so, Star Wars had a huge impact on your childhood (I’m talking Star Wars® IV, V, and VI, of course). Princess Leia was probably one of my first childhood heroes (I even had Princess Leia Underoos) and I was a big fan of Yoda. Bob and I have watched the movies hundreds of times and cannot wait to introduce Brooke to this trilogy because we think it encompasses a lot of timeless messages and principles to live by on top of just being kick-butt movies. As we are huge space travel fans, it made sense to incorporate a Star Wars theme folded flyers set with paper starfighters. After all, the galaxy far, far away needs protecting.
Star Wars Folded Flyers is a fun interactive book geared for children ages eight and older (okay, and adults, too!) with instructions to make your own fold out starfighters and background information about each design. For those who are not in the know starfighers are small fighter spaceships with incredible speed. There are six designs (with five copies of each design) featured in this book with the ability to make 30 paper starfighters total. The flyers were rigorously tested by the Klutz Aerodynamics Team that promises the flyers can speed through the living room as well as they do in outer space. Ha! This set comes with 36 sheets of custom-designed paper, tape for construction and six foldable display stands. We look forward to when Brooke has an entire fleet X and Y-wings at her command. I am sure the Force is strong with this one.
