Product Review: Wristies for Kids! Fingerless Gloves (Ages 2-12 Years)

My daughter can’t stand having gloves on her fingers even when the weather is freezing outside. We got a small taste of winter recently when the weather dipped down to 50 and my new season attempt to see if she would wear gloves was shot down by a very determined, “Done!”. On a separate search I have been doing for a nice American-made coat for her led me to a website called Wristies. Wristies are fingerless gloves that wrap around the thumb and go up the arm to prevent ‘icy cuff’ problems and come in child and adult sizes. I was not surprised that Wristies was invented by a ten year old girl. I certainly remember hating icy cuffs when I was little and would have loved this product in Ohio! Yes, Wristies are all-American made (in the New England area), made from 100 percent polyester (even the fabric they use is Polartec and made in Massachusetts) and can be machine washed on warm and tumbled on low or line dried. The wonderful thing about Wristies for kids like mine is that they don’t feel the restriction of the gloves on their fingertips, while still providing the warmth on their wrists and arms. Hey, I will take what I can get and I am happy she will wear Wristies! I am also happy they are made in the USA. Now, if only finding an American-made coat for kids at a reasonable price was as easy…..
