Product Review: EIO BIG Kids Cup – Lake/Lime/Pumpkin (Age 2+)
Easing the Transition from Bottles to Real Cups
It seems like only yesterday I was frantically running around and baby-proofing everything in sight and busting out only BPA-free reusable bottles then moving to plastic cups with straws to help my daughter learn to drink in a more grown up fashion before moving to plastic cups. I still have a hard time realizing I have a preschool kid (*pinch pinch* Yup, it’s real!) and she is starting to want to do big kid things. I don’t want to stop her, in fact, I want to encourage her…but I am still hesitant. What if she gets hurt? What if she breaks something or worse breaks a bone? What if…..what if…what if??? Yes, I have to let it go and let her breathe and learn and if a few broken glasses get sacrificed along the way (with my own sanity) then so be it. I am throwing caution to the wind and trying out these really cool ‘BIG KID’ cups by EIO because the time to transition to big kid glass cups is *gulp* now.
EIO BIG Kids Cups are a three-pack of open cups for kids ages two plus made from glass jars with protected grip able sleeves. This sleeve set comes in three different unisex colors of lake (bluish), lime and pumpkin. The durability of these canning type jars is useful for children first using glass cups and the extra added protection of the liners adds to the safety feature of these glasses. I don’t know about you, but I am so ready to get rid of that multitude of plastic cups and start Brooke on the path of getting closer to using our adult cups, plates and utensils, which she seems more interested in that transition than I am at this point. I can’t stop her from growing, so why bother trying! Fly my little bird!
Note! While the BIG Kids Cup does not come with the EIO Brand Caps, you can buy the caps separately (check out the direct link here). This is a fantastic ‘learn and grow’ product to transition from a cup with cap to cup without a cap.
