Product Review: Scholastic Storybook Treasures: Vol. 4 Featuring Robot Zot DVD (Geared for Ages 2-6)
12 Delightful Stories in a 3-DVD Collection
The Scholastic Storybook Treasures series is geared towards toddlers and preschoolers who are starting to learn to read. Scholastic Storybook Treasures take favorite Scholastic books throughout the last few years and your child gets to see the illustrations and words on the bottom of the screen while watching as a Read-Along. This DVD collection is Volume Four in the set and is the latest release (October 9, 2012) that was put together to include stories to help foster creativity and learning in kids. The idea behind the books chosen in this series is a nice rhyming scheme with Robot Zot!, value of appreciation in Too Many Toys, and making big and important changes with The Curious Garden. There were several books that I had not read to our daughter in this set and it was fun to see it on the screen (I love the Read-Along idea). If you have never read Trashy Town, I definitely recommend that book. Oh yeah, Robot Zot! (who is a hilarious character, by the way) is narrated by the TV show Scrubs, Zach Braff.
