This is a songbook from ‘The Secret Mountain’ that accompanies a CD for early readers focused on the ABCs. Yes, count me in! The new alphabet songbook is where letters and words meet music. I love most things that allow music association (if it is good music, of course) and this provides a really fun and nice way to learn about the basics of word foundation through song. The CD includes 25 songs that take the child on a journey from A to Z. The songbook is hardcover and is a nicely illustrated book (it has 48 beautiful pages of watercolor) that follow along with the whimsical, language-building songs offered by the CD. As I’ve said, I am a big advocate of children’s literacy and it is important for children to begin by developing strong knowledge of the basics. This CD and songbook offers a quirky look at the alphabet and a good way to memorize the letters through a visual book and auditory CD. This is a great combination for those pre and early readers and parents will fall in love with the creativity of the words behind each letter. Kudos!
