We talk about the weather a lot. I say ‘we’ as in my family, but it also can refer to ‘we’ as people. It’s one of the most common things humans talk about especially in all those mini-conversations throughout the day. My family is no different. I have done a review on our Weather Station that we check every day, we have a dress-up felt set with corresponding weather scenes and I love going over our Idbids Iddy Biddy Steps to a Greener World book through the Little Green Path foundation that talks about the water cycle. Weather is such a huge part of our lives that I was excited to incorporate another learning tool on the subject through Which Way Weather, an awarding winning DVD for young children.
Which Way Weather DVD is an educational video geared for kids that asks and answers all those burning questions about the weather in a visually appealing way. Bo Peep Videos are considered the pioneers of the toddler videos with familiar concepts and play and it is easy to see why their message works. The DVD talks about many different aspects of weather as well as talking about how kids can play in any kind of weather (Brooke loves watching the children having fun outside). Many questions are answered that I also found entertaining; for example, can you see the wind? I love that it really ties in the weather with appropriate dress for children. The DVD also includes lots of fun songs about the weather to learn and sing. It is an appropriate 30 minute commercial-free video where you child will learn about our weather. A bonus is that a songbook and activity guide is included with the DVD. I definitely recommend Which Way Weather!
