For those parents that lovingly suffered through the colicky baby syndrome (I blame Brooke’s preemie status), sleep deprived parents like myself looked for anything to help calm this cranky pants baby especially at night. One of the best pieces of advice I got was through a YouTube video (sorry, I searched, but couldn’t find it to include – darn it) about giving your baby a nice massage that included a very gentle belly rub that did small circles in an ‘I Love You’ pattern. Awww! Isn’t that sweet? Well, it also helped a lot. So much so that it is still a nighttime ritual as Brooke is now a preschooler and she looks forward to her bedtime massages. I’ve used various products, as you can probably tell I am a lotion junkie which comes from having ultra dry skin, and I was really excited to try the Calming Baby Massage Lotion on Brooke!
The Calming Baby Massage Lotion comes in an 8 oz container and is a soothing and creamy massage lotion safe enough for infants but just as perfect for adults. Nighttime massages are relaxing and help sleep and, as we learned, can help relieve the tummy issues that colicky babies can experience. We use it directly after bath time which is recommended and is even great as an extra moisturizing product. There are no chemicals, toxins or carcinogens in this product and I’m including all the ingredients below for your information.
