A new Bilingual Collection of Songs in Time for Hispanic Heritage Month

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15)! What a perfect way to celebrate this month than through a fun bilingual collection of children’s songs by Mister G. CHOCOLALALA is actually scheduled to be released by Coil Records on September 15, 2012 to coincide with the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month to make it even more special. So who is this Mr. G? Well, Mr. G is Ben Gundersheimer, so you can probably see why it is necessary to shorten it to Mr. G! Ben grew up in Philadelphia and has been inspired by his concert tours throughout Latin America and had two bilingual songs that were very well received (and award-winning) on his previous album that he decided to create an entire album of bilingual songs for his fans. Chocolalala is really fun with such a mixture of funky musical styles bossa nova to ska, funk to folk, rap to pop. Give a listen at the links below to get a flavor. It definitely gets my family dancing and I LOVE the bilingual aspect because we try to incorporate Spanish quite a bit into our daily lives here in Austin. An example of the first lines of ‘Colores’ is, ‘blue azul rojo red so many colors inside my head’. Very cool!
