Product Review: Huh-uh! CD by Barry G and the Dream Jam Kids (All Ages)

An Eclectic Collection of Original Music for Children of All Ages Young and Old

This new Huh-uh! album just released on August 1st by Barry G and the Dream Jam Kids is a mix of classic rock and country and has enough energy to move and groove with your kids. It might not come as a surprise that children will love it considering the leader of the band, Barry, is a father to twins and music educator. Score! While I absolutely love the high energy aspect of the album, it was the fewer softer songs like the more blues-type song “The Captain Was a Monkey,” and the folk-esque tradition of “Hammer Ring” (I love the chorus of children!) I found enchanting. For those Texan cowboys, you will enjoy the Marty Robbins ditty “Into the Valley” and train lovers will love the chugging guitar riffs of “The Longest Train”. If you want a very sweet lullaby ballad, the last song on the album “Are You Sleepy?” offers a beautiful ending to a quality album. This is a great family album that was also produced by five time Grammy-award winner Rick Chertoff. Huh-uh, indeed!
