Product Review: Pocket Snails Potty Adventure DVD (Age 2+)

Oh, the joys of potty training…who is with me on this? Ha. Just when you think you have it down, there is a slight set-back and then you feel like you are starting back at square one. If you are one of those parents who have a child who took to going to the potty like a duck to water, I salute you. My husband and I are on board with parenting guidance with the small exception of potty training (I wanted a little more structure). We came to a nice collaboration on doing potty training efforts through different potty training products we found helpful and more potty communication with no real time schedule or pressure on our daughter. It certainly got Brooke interested and it got her focused on wanting to use the potty and we have made more progress on being diaper-free in the last few weeks than we have in months because, I think, we made it fun for our only child.
Pocket Snails® Potty Adventure DVD is a potty training program for kids two and up that feature the award-winning Pocket Snails. If the Pocket Snails sound familiar it is because I did a previous review on their ABC CD! The Pocket Snails are back with their good friend and young boy Jake who is working with his little sister, Wendy, who is going through a step-by-step process of potty training. How sweet! The DVD includes a neat Potty Steps Map for kids to visualize the potty process, a Chart for progress and includes fun sing-along songs for kids to add more enjoyment to the process. The exciting journey for Wendy offers encouragement to the young viewers and the smart little Pocket Snails are always there to expertly explain the process to kids so it isn’t scary. It is a very enjoyable and educational video, you know, for a DVD about going to the bathroom!
