Product Review:  Delia’s Dull Day {Hardcover} (Age 4-9)

An Incredibly Boring Book by Andy Myer out September 2012!

So perhaps you can relate to this story as much as me.  Delia is a school aged girl who is convinced her life is boring.  I snorted in laughter at her exclamation that the most exciting thing that happened at lunch was that her Jell-O squares fell into her chicken noodle soup.  The thing is, we (aka the readers) see lots of potential for excitement in Delia’s life screaming out on the page illustrations (hello?  An elephant stomping in her house?  A pirate on her school bus?) .  However, Delia is certain her life is very dull and nothing ever happens.  Maybe if she learned to look up once in a while and pay attention, Delia could see her life is not so lackluster after all!  My daughter loved this book and we have read it many times now.  She likes the page of the butterflies coming out of Delia’s instrument in band class the best.  It’s a really cute read and would be fun for all those ‘dreary’ times in your life when your child says, “I’m BORED!”
