The more creative, funky and bizarre, the more I like the product. I had not heard of Wikki Stix when I saw this iParenting book winner in the store. It promised a fun, hands on interactive board book for kids age 3 and up to complete pictures with a product called Wikki Stix. Wikki Stix, I imagine you asking? Yes. Wikki Stix is a ‘hand knitting yarn enchanced with non toxic wax, like the kind used in lipstick’. Kids with allergies, have no fear! Wikki Stix is free of latex, gluten, peanuts, peanut oils or byproducts. Basically, you can bend, mold and shape Wikki Stix and adhere it to most surfaces including the Book of Wiggles, Squiggles and Curlicues.
Book of Wiggles, Squiggles and Curlicues is an awesome introduction to the craft tool of the Wikki Stix. This board book is packed with Wikki Stix picture missions for kids to complete. Need to put a tail on a pig? You get to do it in your board book with the help of the included Wikki Stix. This book includes 36 six-inch Wikki Stix and plenty of projects in the book to keep your little ones busy and their imaginations active. These activities are awesome for finger strengthening, motor skills and color matching. It also works well with a child with special needs including Aspergers, Autism and for Occupational Therapy. Yes, their slogan is true. Wikki Stix is ‘more fun than a toy…more creative than a craft’. It’s a really cool teaching tool, too!
