Dorme:  A Magical Dreamland Visit is the first of the four book and DVD series that are planned in the Visual Lullaby Dreamland Series.  This major undertaking is a time consuming process considering the amount of care and dedication that goes into each picture book and accompanying visual short lullaby.  This award-winning endeavor by Sylvia Bensfeld was her vision of an escape for children from the fast-paced life style for today to create a media product directed towards them in this dreamland visual lullaby book and a hope to encourage reading at an early age.

Dorme is part of the Visual Lullaby Dreamland Series designed to do (among other things):

• Inspire imagination and creatively
• Inspire a love for reading
• Make bedtime more fun
• Encourage a peaceful night’s sleep
• Celebrate the innocence of childhood

The premise of the lovely Dorme book is about the fantasy dream land of a small boy swept away to a place where bodies go while they slumber.  The celebration of the subconscious mind is a beautiful visual escapism for children who are reluctant sleepers who can see that dreams can be a source of discovery and fascination as well as a getaway from the world of the mundane.  Highly recommended!  The next book and film in the series will have a winter wonderland theme. No title yet as they script the film first.
