Product Review: Fruit Flies’ Picnic (Book + Audio CD) (Ages 3-12)
Hungry Ideas for Hungry Minds!
What is one way to get your picky eater to eat fruit? By the help of some sweet little fruit flies, of course! In Kathleen’s 32 page book called the Fruit Flies Picnic, each fruit fly brings a different fruit for the party and talks about why they are so important and delicious to eat. Each fruit fly then asks the readers to name five other fruits that have the same color. Plus, fruit is just good for us and fruit flies! Children will learn and be able to identify 30 different fruits by the end of the book and an included audio CD with important and fun lessons on the important of eating fruits and the different colors associated with each one. If you want to go one step further, the Fruit Flies also come in different beanie babies available for purchase. Adorable! Oh, and we learned about the white cherimoya from central America. Yum! It was also fun to read about which colors of fruit benefit your body? Green fruits like the the kiwi keep your bones and teeth strong. Great and yummy read!
