Product Review: “Be Happy” DVD (All Ages)

A Momma’s Bacon scoop! The Award-winning CD Be Happy by Positively Kids (which is really fun and happy music for kids) is coming out with a new DVD this summer also entitled “Be Happy”. It is an affirmations DVD to help kids focus on how they have the opportunity to choose happiness as well as being able to control their bodies to smile and show gratitude. Yes, powerful stuff! If we let our kids know that we have the power to change the way we feel about things than we really can cope with anything; from illness, to dealing with a loss to even just becoming healthier. That is the focus of the Positively Kids mission and I’m excited to see they are coming out with a DVD version of their previously DVD/MP3 Captain Positive message.
The “Be Happy’ DVD is geared towards children to learn about ways to stay positive and choose happiness. Remember, ‘You CHOOSE to be happy’. Repeat that with me. “I CHOOSE to be happy”. When you see the videos of children living with terminal illness, struggling with real issues that many of us may not even think about on a daily basis where children are forced to live, we should choose to be happy and choose to be grateful for the life we have been given. If we grew up in those environments, we can choose to get out of them and move on and take on the responsibility to where our happiness is in own control.

Now I know we have our ups and downs in our lives and grief is a normal part of life, but so is taking control of your life and choosing your path. I want happiness for my child and I know you do, too. Let’s be a good example and choose to be happy. And, wow, does this video really make it look simple to put into practice. Maybe it is that simple….at least it is worth it to keep trying, right?
