Brooke has some fantastic aunties and uncles and she is so fortunate to get some fun and educational gifts for her recent birthday. I really fell in love with the Learning Resources Pretend and Play Tape Measure which was a perfect addition to her (pink!) tool kit thanks to Uncle Andrew and Aunty Betsy. As a budding carpenter, this was an essential addition to her tool bag as well as being a nice introduction to a tape measure. It is a really nice size (7″ x 7.5″ x 3”) that is perfect for small hands and easy to measure up to 4 feet. You use a crank to start the measuring process and every young carpenter needs one of these in their collection! This sturdy plastic tape measure looks like the real thing so kid’s feel important when measuring items! The tape measure is perfect for introducing of the math concept of measurement. When they are done, kids just crank the handle in the opposite direction to put the tape away. It’s very simple and Brooke is measuring everything from her feet to her stuffed animals. Hilarious!
