The Beethoven’s Wig CD, released in September 2011, is a CD that has 26 songs broken down into two separate categories of Sing Along songs and Piano Classics. The reason for this multitude of songs is because there is the instrumental version of each piano classic song with interesting and made up-lyrics. Whew! That’s a lot of music! It is a really a perfect introduction to classical music for children that includes some of my favorite Piano Classics (such as ‘The Entertainer’ which was a song my aunt would always play to me when I was little).
The Beethoven’s Wig music series is a sing along piano classic CD series for kids that has won multiple awards including four Grammy nominations. Yes, I said GRAMMY. The Beethoven’s Wig series is created by Richard Perlmutter. Richard has been a featured performer with many symphony orchestras and is very well known in the classical music world. There are four other Beethoven’s Wig recordings before this Sing Along Piano Classic and each one has has been Grammy nominated for Best Musical Album for Children. Impressive!
